(19,486 posts)Big houses, big cars and boats, new wives every ten years. One thing that is true in each case is that their own hubris brought them down at some point. That Trump is still kicking after all he's done is a testament to his craftiness. His hubris however, allowed him to bite off more than he can chew in this presidential bid, and I am so looking forward to his house of cards crashing down around him.

(49,305 posts)that he hasn't been brought down until now. I think it is the way he threatened and intimidated people that kept him afloat. Too many people were afraid to publicly criticize or expose him. He had that down to a science - confidentiality agreements, lawsuits, etc. It gave him too much confidence though, as his old tricks don't work in a presidential campaign.
