That's a paraphrase from a quote by the late, great, Molly Ivins.

Right wingnut, Pat Buchanan, gave a disgusting, purely fascist speech at the 1992 Republican convention. Molly Ivins remarked that "His speech sounded better in the original German."

(If you don't know who Molly Ivins was, do yourself a favor and google her. She was a brilliant pundit, humorist, author, and a Texan who gave sane Texans a good name. She died in 2007. Many of us here on DU will always miss her.)
