GovTech or SmarTech in Chattanooga. They helped Rove and Gonzales not recall what happened with that bush felony politicization of the US Justice Department scandal where 9 US Attorneys General were fired, too.

"Furthermore, the same hosting site that handled redirections from Blackwell's "official" site also handled the White House e-mail accounts that have become central to investigations of the Gonzales purge of eight federal prosecutors, some of whom were themselves involved in vote fraud investigations. There was outrage and rules were put in place to prevent it from happeninng again. She found a work around. It was an ethical lapse but it's also understandable why she would do it. Why not just admit to a moral failing and move on?

At this point it is important to beat Trump. All flavors of democrats agree on that single statement. However, what will kill the Democratic Party is pretending that a horse with a problematic leg is Seabiscuit.

OP's like this try to over reach. There was a ton of democratic outrage over the GOP's propensity for hidden government. I believe the Clinton's played a role in that outrage including a speech by Hillary herself which called such secret government (including private email accounts) to be shredding the constitution.

More importantly FOIA and government transparency used to be strong democratic party principles which seemingly some would want us to totally abandon so as to be perfect cheerleaders. There is a reason that President Obama ran saying he would run the most transparent administration in history. I want those longstanding democratic party principles to survive both Trump and Hillary's presidency and changing historical facts does not lead to this survival.

You have the exact right answer in labeling it an ethical lapse on Hillary's part. In the context of the rules of this site, it just would be better for cheerleaders to focus on Trump's insanity and those areas where Hillary is strong rather than try turn an ethical lapse into a strength. Such mislabeling and trying to change history to pretend that we were not outraged when Republicans did worse BUT SIMILAR acts does not really help her, it rings false because it is not true.

It would be easier to shrug it off with "yeah, she screwed up bigtime but it is in our best interest to forgive and move on."

I liked your post because it tried to correct the OP with facts without being negative or overreaching. I have had problems with Hillary and emails while not believing it was a death penalty criminal offense.

In general, the email issue is strange because this is one of the weirdest election seasons because the two major party candidates have such high negative ratings.
On the democratic side, posts like the OP are trying to change the likeability/favorability of Hillary which is an understandable political move. Most of campaigning is trying to increase your opponents negatives or increase your own positives.

Not much more has to be said about Trump. He is hopeless. His negatives are there for a reason and right now it looks like he will lose which is great.

In this particular election, what is unique on the democratic side, is that there is a segment of the party that is not particularly enamored of Hillary and think she is part of the problem with American society and not a solution but will vote for her. It is this fact that seems to be ignored most on this site by posts like the OP. There are a lot of posts trying to make people like her or which try to attack or invalidate reasons why many democrats will vote for her but do not consider her a good candidate for the future of the country although much better than Trump.

However, because of rules on this site and because we are not in the primaries, I do not see many posts from this group. Some have probably moved on and some, like me, do not really see a reason to post anymore. I am going to vote for her but do not really have anything to express or a reason to express it since the primaries are over and the US system unfortunately is restricted to 2 parties. I believe polls show there are a substantial number of democratic party voters who have similar feelings.

Contrary to what the OP is addressing, I do not see many or any posts that attack Hillary on emails now. In fact Hillary email issues are almost always brought up from deep supporters of Hillary like this OP where a Hillary proponent brings up the emails to convince the group who will vote for her that they should not just vote for Hillary but love Hillary like they do.

Its understandable but seems to invalidate DU as a dynamic discussion site which is the reason I have read DU for years. We have discussions that make assertions to support points that are not true because it would be better for Hillary if true such as presenting an argument that Democrats were not outraged by GOP hidden government and do not think we should have supported and voted for a candidate in the primary who has a history of lack of transparency. I think long term it would lead to a better election process a more honest appraisal/support for Hillary's presidency when she gets in and perhaps. Perhaps, more importantly for a discussion site, it might lead to more truthful discussions and a more dynamic DU.

There was nothing in the protocols against what she did. She has already said many times, that in hindsight it was probably a bad idea. Just another freaking witch hunt with nothing to show for it.

Bush senior lied to congress and the American people
He said he knew nothing about Iran/Contra
In his own personal diaries it was found after he was elected that he did know
How come he is not in prison??

As far as we know, none of the 22 million in the RNC private server were accounted for.? There were questions about the firing of the US Attorneys but also questions about the illegal run-up to the Iraq invasion. All destroyed. How soon we forget.
