As Morning Joe co-host Joe Scarborough tells it, Donald Trump asked not once, not twice, but three times about nuclear weapons during a foreign policy briefing with an expert. "Trump asked three times in an hour briefing, 'Why can't we use nuclear weapons?'" Scarborough said on Wednesday's episode of Morning Joe, as a panel discussed concerns about how Trump might handle national security. At one point, Scarborough said, Trump even asked, "'If we have them, why can't we use them?'"
After the panel managed to wipe the stunned looks off their faces, Scarborough's co-host, Mika Brzezinski, fired off a warning: "Be careful America, and be careful Republican leaders," she said.

I hope noone who endorses this AD ever complains about people not voting.

Donald Trump refused to rule out using nuclear weapons in Europe during a town hall in Wisconsin on Wednesday. The Republican presidential front-runner was asked about his recent contradictory statements about nuclear proliferationin which he said he was concerned about the spread of nukes while also suggesting that more countries, including Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia, should be allowed to acquire them.
MSNBC's Chris Matthews, the host of the town hall, tried to pin Trump down on what circumstances might compel President Trump to deploy the United States' nuclear arsenal.
"Look, nuclear should be off the table, but would there a time when it could be used? Possibly," Trump said.
Matthews asked Trump to tell the Middle East and Europe that he would never use nuclear weapons, but Trump continued to evade. Asked again if he'd use nuclear weapons in Europe, Trump held firm. "I am notI am not taking cards off the table," Trump responded.

(13,390 posts)Exploiting stigma against people with legitimate mental illness in order to discredit him is bigtoted. Hoping like crazy people are fearful and fragile enough to vote for democrats based on their fear doubles it.
Trump is an entitled, socially inept individual who gained success by demeaning people on television. He is the predictable product of someone who can eliminate people who do not show unconditional loyalty from his life. He behaves exactly like we should expect someone who is glorified on conflict driven, hate glorifying, reality TV to behave.

(17,199 posts)The "Late Show" host had a long monologue recently addressing the Republican presidential candidate's latest gaffes that won't seem to go away. Now he's taking up the news that, according to Joe Scarborough, Trump asked "why can't we use" nuclear weapons.
"Oooh, I know that one," Colbert said in response on his Wednesday show.
He went on to imitate a dropped nuclear bomb wreaking havoc in a way that managed to be both hilarious and bone-chilling.
Lately, Colbert is doing the opposite of letting Trump off easy, and he's using his unique brand of comedy to make it undeniably entertaining.
