Correct me if I am wrong.

I'm glad Gabbie is doing better. She looks so good, and so happy.

Has there been any report framing the issue this way? Damn sure if it went the other way and the district was dem leaning it would be THE topic on every show.

It's just not what they do. 1%ers own these entities -- newspapers, morning radio, cable news -- and the news is written for them. The headlines reflect this. Every time I read a headline and think 'who thinks this way?' the answer is the owners of these media entities.

In a sea of bias and bullshit many people are looking for an island of truth. Truth that panders to their beliefs and leanings, but truth nonetheless. I don't think you become Fox News to beat Fox News. It is like the old campaign rule: If you get in a fight with a pig you're going to get dirty. And the pig will love it.

Journalism has been stood upon its head. One to many has become many to many with sites like this one aggregating and instantly analyzing events as they happen. News now breaks on Twitter and everyone else is downstream ending with TV then newspapers then news magazines. The monopoly of TV news is dead. I plan to continue to embrace what is becoming a truly democratic media landscape. I think this is a great time in history to be a news junkie but the revolution left television out.

Aggregated news and media via a website like DU* is the future of news. The sooner we get out of a mode of reacting to the endless circus of TV and embrace the idea that we are not just a passive audience but are now potential journalist, editor, analyst and audience the better.

My solution: Internet on. TV off.

that MSNBC has alll the right wing mouth pieces but yet allows liberal talk show hosts in the evening..Surprising,especially since the coporate mafia member Comcast is the majority owner.

I think this race had some of the same things in play as the Wisconsin recall in that it had an element of do-over and voters tend to reject that -- both here and in Wisconsin -- making it wrong to read too much into either election. Obviously, I am happy with the result in Arizona.

Where were all the reich-wing religious nuts when Gabby didn't die after a point-blank shot to the head? Why didn't they all shout in unison about how "It's a MIRACLE!" and "Democrats must be favored by God!!!"

I wonder why they were so silent about that?
