This is BIG NEWS, but you won't hear it on Fox anytime soon, I'm sure. According to Gabriel Sherman, Roger Ailes will be escorted to the door soon. The only question is when, and whether it will be ugly. (My money is on ugly)
Reporting for New York Magazine, Sherman writes, "After reviewing the initial findings of the [sexual harassment] probe, James Murdoch is said to be arguing that Ailes should be presented with a choice this week to resign or face being fired."
Lachlan Murdoch is feeling more lenient, and tends toward waiting until the end of the Republican National Convention this week, but either way, there's no question that Ailes is out the door.
Apparently the results of the internal investigation into Ailes' alleged harassment of women at Fox News has cemented his exit, regardless of when. From Sherman's report:

"Ailes is the architect of the networks hard-right news model that during his tenure elevated rage over substance and belligerence over facts, leading to a new conservative movement stupider and less informed than any which came before it. That approach led directly to the installation of a dishonest, know-nothing, idiot showman as the head of the Republican Party."

Murdochs Have Decided to Remove Roger Ailes the Only Question Now Is When
EEEWWWW!!! The pic describes FOX News entirely.
They just need white hoods.
Snip
The interviews are now being conducted at Paul, Weisss midtown offices because of concerns that the Fox offices could be bugged, sources say.
The lawyers are seeking to interview former female employees of Fox News in addition to current staff.
They are also looking into the appropriateness of Ailess pressuring employees to speak out on his behalf, against his accusers.
For instance, they are focusing on an op-ed written by Fox Business anchor Neil Cavuto in which Cavuto called the allegations against Ailes sick. As Cavuto is a manager at Fox News (his title is senior VP and managing editor), his comments could be seen as part of a corporate attempt to silence women who would speak out.

Meanwhile, one Fox host told me that Ailes loyalists are reporting back on the investigation to his attorney, and Fox contributor, Susan Estrich. Theyre scared to death, one Fox anchor told me. The mood is bleak.
