Couldn't you just see that megalomanical boor take center stage, waving his arms and generally acting like an ass? (Just as he does when he "makes a speech?"
The basic idea has already been done, by The Kinks, in 1973. They put out two concept albums called "Preservation, Act 1" and "Preservation, Act 2."
The basic idea is that people are sick and tired of the corruption and incompetence of the existing politicans. Along comes a guy who promises to be different and has bold, populist ideas. But he ultimately ends up being even worse, as he just uses the populist ideas to get elected, and he's even more corrupt and a would-be dictator.
The more things change, the more they remain the same.
