I want to take the time and wish all the moms on DU, a very special Happy Mother's Day!
Thank you what you do and who you are. I don't know what I would without my mother in my life? She is irreplaceable and means the world to me.

So many of us were not that lucky. I have not seen my mother for 29 years. I don't know where or how she is and on this day I often grieve for what could have been.
All of you with good mothers - hug them extra type tomorrow!  |

Just got a special call from France. One child is a film editor and is spending the month at Cannes. But he remembered mama. He is dating a nice girl back home, even though months ago I requested that he find a nice girl from Provence who likes Americans to come visit. lol. He just couldn't wait that long. Sometimes the kids are just gonna let you down... (Actually, he is a sweetheart who can do no wrong in my eyes, but I have to give the kids a little grief or they think something's wrong with me.) Anyhoo, Happy Day to all you mothers and others on DU who give nurturing and sustenance to the world.
