Did everyone make it through the night safely?

Boy, it stormed all night here in Kansas City. But nothing too bad. We got about 4 1/2 inches of rain and a lot of thunder.

My poor dogs. And I got about 10 minutes of sleep. But now it's all headed east. Poor them.

This kind of weather is scary. It's tornado season here.

while driving home. It was a slow drive trying to find a tree covered route to mitigate some of the hail coming down for the car. Made okay but need to inspect the vehicle today.

Now thru May ate probably the worst but we got a terrible storm last year right before the 4th of July. Then storms pick up again in the fall but not nearly as bad as spring.

And it looked like it was headed toward Houston.

I hate these spring storms. I'm always afraid my neighbor's tree is going to end up on to of my house. But it held. My neighbor on the other side lost a branch a couple of days ago. People here plant silver maples and they are too soft for this area. They break apart really easily. But they grow fast so people like to plant them.

And Bartlett Pears. They are so pretty when they bloom but they just crack down the middle in wind and rain.

Up here it's tornado alley - Texas up thru Kansas. Fortunately, we miss most of that. It stays West of us.
