Donald Trump Says Men Who Take Care of Their Kids Are Acting 'Like the Wife'

http://fortune.com/2016/04/24/trump-act-like-wife/

Trump doesn’t change diapers…
“No, I don’t do that,” Trump said on the Opie and Anthony show in 2005. “There’s a lot of women out there that demand that the husband act like the wife and you know there’s a lot of husbands that listen to that… I’m really like a great father but certain things you do and certain things you don’t. It’s just not for me.”

…or really do anything hands-on to care for his kids.
“I mean, I won’t do anything to take care of them. I’ll supply funds and she’ll take care of the kids. It’s not like I’m gonna be walking the kids down Central Park,” Trump said in a 2005 interview with Howard Stern. “Marla used to say, ‘I can’t believe you’re not walking Tiffany down the street,’ you know in a carriage. Right, I’m gonna be walking down Fifth Avenue with a baby in a carriage. It just didn’t work.”

It’s not just babies that Trump avoids.
In a 2007 interview, Trump told Stern about his relationship with Tiffany, his daughter with Marla Marples. Trump said that Tiffany visits him, “You know for about an hour, ‘Hi dad,’ Hi Tiff, I love you Tiff.’ She’s a great kid,” says Trump, who tells Stern that Tiffany’s a smart girl—something he knows because he “glances” at her report cards.

Perhaps he’s trying to patch things up with Tiffany after his comments on a previous Howard Stern Show?
Speaking to Stern in 2003, Trump said he married Maples because she got pregnant with Tiffany. “At the time it was like, ‘Excuse me, what happened?” Trump said. “And then I said, ‘Well, what are we going to do about this?'”

Way to widen that gender gap, King Combover!

But he is such a lazy taker and exploiter that I'm sure he would do it.

He's never worked a hard day in his life and pays everybody else to do everything for him.

He is only rich thanks to exploitation.

They hate anything they think de-masculinizes men (hence their constant obsession with "cucks"--supposedly weak men whose wives cheat on them), and apparently taking too keen an interest in their kid's raising is a no-no in their eyes.

him down much, and there are, no doubt, many voters who agree with Trump that at home there are or should be defined male and female roles. A large chunk of the country doesn't necessarily see things the way we do. If they did, Trump would have had to drop out long ago from lack of voter interest.

and, those are the ones that vote in primaries. However, given that he's only a little above water with Republican women - not just women in general - I think it's a huge problem for him. Trump probably thinks by having Mary Fallin or Susanna Martinez as VP will take care of it, though. But, I doubt it.

Their reasoning is that they prefer an incoherent clown who can destroy their party's establishment and create a vacuum. They distrust their party's leaders as much as we distrust ours.

as they were older when I married, but my grandchildren are a different story. I have cooked for them (they got a big kick out of that), changed diapers, and the youngest (2.5 years) comes to me when it is time to comb or blow dry her hair. She is pappy's little girl. Trump is an idiot. A real parent or grandparent does what is needed for the kids, and doesn't go on an ego trip about it.

important in the media. It's the same reason we are so fucked as a country. He says dumb shit, but his celebrity status makes it okay. His bravado is more important than Obama's patience.

Trump trumps reason. I hope we do not face the lesson we deserve because I have children, but as stupid as stupid can get, it is deserved.
