A Republican, family values state senator from Bakersfield (naturally) was arrested here in Sacramento for:
Speeding, drunk, in his state vehicle, the wrong way up a one way street, after leaving the most garishly stereotypical gay bar in a 90 mile radius, in the company of a gentleman who was likely working.
That one actually had a reasonably happy ending: nobody got hurt. He came out and voted for gay equality for the remainder for his term.
