My bitch of the day about DU-Primararies

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by NH Ethylene (a host of the General Discussion forum).

Many people who post in General Discussion really don't want to get involved in the DU-Primaries "war."

Yet, there are many people who insist on inserting the DU-P war into General Discussion.

So here's my plea. Please, please don't do it. Leave the rest of us out of the "war."

I've had a few General DU threads locked because of a few destroyed threads by crossing over with a pile of DU-Primary stuff.

At the risk of insulting some, I'd like to say that GD-Primary has become a place as ugly as some of the worst Republican sites. I know there are many who post there who are trying to instill a bit of sanity. But It's not working. And sad to say, some Dems can be as fanatical and ugly as Republicans.

But let me get to the bottom line which is a plea. Please, keep the GD-Primary anger and occasional madness out of General Discussion. A little politeness goes a long way.

I was around for the Hillary War in 2008. As soon as that forum appeared, I shitcanned it. I suggest you do the same.

Any of the vitriol that spills over into GD will get hidden if people alert on it. We who are not part of a personality cult will try to keep our own sandbox clean and free of cat shit.

I've been reading your posts forever and I respect your opinions

I've seen too many good GD posts get locked because of the cat shit.

But here's what saddens me the most. I have always been enough of a fool to think that (most) Democrats were sane, rational and humane.

I understand the Bernie people, I admire many of them and I wish I could join them in their delusion. However, I know that Bernie can't win. All the Republicans have to repeat is "Commie Jew" over, and over, and over again. And there are enough thoughtless people who will buy it.

And many, many of on GD-P are saying they won't vote for Hillary if she if our candidate. I can only hope they're full of shit. Otherwise, we could really end up with a President Trump.

But a gigantic dose of reality.

Whatever your opinion of my posts, the reality is that we cannot let the Republicans win. Trump -- Cruz -- it doesn't matter.

We must, must beat them. So search for contradictions anywhere you want. I really have one issue. Defeating the Republican Party and every single despicable idea they stand for.

I want Sanders to make his mark in the primaries, to scare the shit out of the stodge at the heart of the party and let them know that "business as usual" is not a selling point that will get people off their couches and out in the cold to vote in November. If he's the candidate, he might win against the odious Drumpf. We've got a black guy in the White House, after all. The main problem isn't the voters, it's getting the party to back him. I think they'd rather have Drumpf and a positive personal cash flow as he eliminates taxes on the 1%.

However, just threatening the coronation is what motivates me. Something has to get through to those DNC dunderheads that the electorate is in crisis and has been for some time.

There are several posters who think they're being clever by pretending to post about Trump, when their aim is quite different.

I agree with you. I hope they cut it out.

They don't look clever, only desperate.

Being a newb on DU, I went straight into GD-P to see what is happening on this board, and I was pretty stunned with what I saw there. Needless to say, my impression of DU, based on visiting this section, was less than favorable.

Having read your post, however, I now realize that what I thought was the main course is merely a food fight. It may not have been your intention, but I appreciate you nudging me in the direction where I can find some sanity.

that's festering in years worth of shit and other refuse. The stuff that turns a sickly black and if you dig it up and drop it on grass, it kills it damn near instantly. Being filled with poisonous heavy metals and noxious fumes?

Yeah, GD: P still is worse than that, and so are its posters. Keep your useless posts and your useless ideas out of the rest of the site, please.
