Sen McConnnell: "GOP will drop Trump like a hot rock"

Mitch McConnell Says Republicans Will Drop Donald Trump ‘Like A Hot Rock’ If He Wins GOP Nomination
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has assured Senate candidates running for reelection that they can run ads against Donald Trump even if he wins the GOP nomination for president.

... if it threatened to harm them in the general election, they could run negative ads about Mr. Trump to create space between him and Republican senators seeking re-election.

Where would one start with the damning footage of Republicans lambasting Trump? Rubio is now labeling him as a con artist, correctly by the way. Cruz cites long-standing mob connections. The Republican establishment would just as soon have Trump go down in flames in the general election, just to have a fighting chance of regaining control of the party. I see the GOP as a political Humpty-Dumpty these days, with divisions too great to unite the brand as a functional entity. It should be interesting.

They lost Bush, and If they can't get one of his understudies, they're more than happy to take Hillary.

Problem for them is, the voters on the right are on their side even less than the ones on the left. They're happy with Trump.

to pick a supreme. Now, drop the head of their own party if they don't like him.

The one the Republicans need to drop is him.

or if he even thinks that's what they're doing, he'll go third-party, which means we win regardless of whom we nominate. So, Turtle Boy, go for it!

If a Dem wins - he obstructs.
If any Repub that's not his choice wins - he obstructs.

This is a guy who's gotten so power poisoned that's he's the one who has to be dropped "like a hot rock".

note - this is NOT a post expressing my personal opinion that there is no difference between a Dem and a Repub...just an observations about Turtle's view of the world.

There would be several states where it is already too late to get on the ballot.
