I have hidden GD Primaries, Bernie, and Hillary group posts from my Latest page.
DU looks like it should.

Thanks to DU Admin for giving us that option. I temporarily hid the posts, I didn't complete trash those forums/groups.


I've been here a while but the endless back-and-forth minute-to-minute minutia of the latest greatest most important tidbit and every poll about primaries that are 2-4 weeks away was tiresome. This is rare for me - I don't think I have or ever have put anyone on ignore. I can still look into those areas of DU but as I want, not flooding my Latest page endlessly.


I'd highly recommend looking into this.

Once the primaries are over, I can clear out my ignore list, but I suspect that many of them will have surpassed their purpose and disappear into the sunset

4. I go into all three forums just for shits and giggles.

I keep tabs on whose supporters seem the most vitriolic. Just for fun.

Some of it is really sad, but some of it is absolutely hilarious.

Now can visit again without being castigated for what I thought were mild replies.

Can almost transport myself back to 2001 for civility amongst various inclinations of DUers, while white-hot, yet literate hatred toward Dumbys and his ilk.

I have turned down several juries as they come from GD-P and don't feel I should judge things I don't participate in.

to all three groups a week or two ago. Much better. Just know that it doesn't filter out stuff from there on the front page, but if you go to the Greatest Page of LBN it will.

Their petty bickering is just not that important. And once I decided that, all the people I had problems with in the past...not anymore, just let it go. I realized it is not that important in my life what people here say or think about HRC or Bernie.

IMO they just want to fight.

13. There's a reason I only have 140 posts in the last 90 days.

Over my 14 years I've never been a hugely prolific poster, but was ordinarily good for 4-5 a day. Recently, however, DU has become a toxic cesspool of internecine sniping and alert tests. Who needs it?
