The Omaha woman bitten by a three-legged tiger at the city’s zoo waived her right to a jury trial and has agreed to enter a plea deal with prosecutors, her lawyer said Friday.

Attorney James Martin Davis said his client, Jacqueline Eide, planned to enter into the plea agreement at her next court hearing, The hearing is scheduled for April 4 in Douglas County Court.

Eide was treated for injuries to fingers on her left hand after she tried to pet a tiger at the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium about 4 a.m. Nov. 1, prosecutors have said.

Hours later, Omaha police were called to Creighton University Medical Center to handle a disturbance involving Eide. Officers described Eide as showing signs of intoxication.
