All keyed up
In my neighborhood Democrats are an unwelcome species. We are routinely vilified and shoulder frequent blame for everything from bad weather to ISIS, and an Obama t-shirt is construed to be a target for rocks. Even knowing all that, a couple of years ago it was disappointing but not at all surprising when my car got keyed right after I’d applied some new bumper stickers. I reported the vandalism with no expectation that anything would be done, but I wanted it on the record. In the main, the shrugging response was along the lines of “Well, what did you expect?”, very much in the same vein as “She got what she deserved wearing that outfit.”
Thinking about all that and reading some of the comments that are currently posted online, I’m just grateful that cars aren’t driven on the cyber highway.
