jerk ought to disqualify him for public service, so the notion that he might be on the Republican ticket as veep is entirely possible, because for some long while now the Republicans have favored dirtbags, thieves, war mongers, dolts, and dipshits.

Note: 'Dipshits' was not a formal category included in the list prior to the presidency of George W. Bush.

Christie might fall under the 'Dirtbag' column for the pressure he brought to bear on people to endorse him and the shitwork his administration visited upon people who didn't play ball.

during the campaign, saying the sorts of things a president-to-be should not. I'm trying to imagine even one GOP candidate who wouldn't fill that role infinitely better than statesman, though, and can't.

Kasich has never been in this to be president (yet). He's been running for VP since day 1.

still viable (along with his remarkable ability to be charming and repulsive at the same time) is why getting people to really take a look at his record is so important. He's not dead until somebody drives a stake into his heart. He seems easy to dismiss. Don't buy into that. He's smart (or maybe more clever than smart), he can be extremely charming when he wants to be, he's tough and he doesn't quit. Add on to that the fact that he is very entertaining, in a WWE kind of way. It's easy to dismiss him as the boorish fat man because quite frankly he IS a boorish fat man. He is also quite dangerous. Please heed this warning. That's why a little "pest control" is in order-
