DES MOINES Ted Cruz and Donald Trump do agree on one thingif Trump wins Iowa, he might be unstoppable on his way to winning the Republican presidential nomination.
And they are not alone.
A wide range of senior Republicans told POLITICO that if Trump wins Iowa, he'll more than likely be the nominee. One factor they repeatedly pointed to: An Iowa victory over Cruz would validate opinion polls showing him in command of the race. The Trump phenomenon would officially become a reality.
Mike McSherry, a longtime campaign consultant and former executive director of the Republican Governors Association, said: If Trump wins Iowa, I dont know how youd stop him. All these guys are going to be chewing each others throats out for second place.

(26,060 posts)(which he wont), he'll be the nominee. None of the others have the stones to knock him off. They're too afraid to use the mountains of dirt on donnie because they're weenies who are afraid of pissing off his rabid supporters. Hillary will not have that problem.

Trump is never going to win the General against either Hillary or Sanders.

(26,060 posts)of this whole circus. Cruz getting stomped into the dirt. But a close second is the near destruction donnie has brought to the republican party and the breakdown of the relationship between the cons and the talk radio clowns and fox news.
