And it bothers me to see her videos misused.

My hubby and I compiled a CD-R (this was before DVD) biography of Barbara Jordan that we tried to sell to people a couple of years after her death. Used material from her archives at Texas Southern University. Tried to work out a fundraising deal with the minister of her church to help sell it to fund a community project to rebuild their old church site in Fourth Ward. Couldn't work it out as the minister wanted too much of the money for himself. Surprise.
We left. Haven't been back since. Haven't been back to any Christian church, for that matter. That was more than 15 years ago.

She certainly was a hero. And I don't disagree at all with what she says in the ad. But I hate that it's being used by what's essentially a hate organization to drive an agenda she wouldn't have approved of. Ugh.

Is her old seat the one SJL has now?

Barbara Jordan, Craig Washington (most brilliant lawyer I ever saw in court in Houston), Mickey Leland, and now Sheila Jackson Lee.

I do not think Sheila is nearly as smart as any one of her three predecessors.

To use the old political joke, the most dangerous place to be is between Sheila and a camera.
