The price of ignorance

Yes, I’m talking about Palin/Trump. Actually, I’m talking about Palin. Trump ain’t nearly as ignorant as Palin is.

Why does he want her endorsement? Easy. To pick up those who love her. You know who they are. Morons.

So are there enough votes there for Trump to associate himself with someone who is among the dumbest of Americans in public life? Who knows? I doubt that Trump’s team measures statistics that carefully.

But Trump does have an instinct for harvesting the votes of those who are angry, disillusioned, spiteful, hateful, biased, and against any and all who he can paint as “Thems.”

Right now, none of us really believe that Donald Trump could possibly become the president of the United States. But none of us believed that Reagan or George W. could have become president.

Actually, if any group needs to be labeled “ignorant,” it’s we Democrats. Reagan was an amiable imbecile. And George W. occupied the White House for eight years: the first four appointed; the second four stolen in Ohio.

Even if Trump falls by the wayside, we are looking at someone even more dangerous. Ted Cruz. We need to get our act together. What's at stake is future appointments to the Supreme Court. Not to mention our country being run by ignorant people who couldn't give a rat's ass about what we call "the middle class."

If we let them win or steal this election, we will be paying the price for our own ignorance.
