It should be noted (as I did on my FB post) that Colorado is now firmly in the "Told ISIS to fuck off" camp.

Sadly, I'm in a surrender state (FL).

Although Governor Kate Brown gave a "no comment" of Monday the 16th, she came through with a strong affirmative statement on Oregon's continued acceptance of Syrian refugees on Tuesday the 17th.

"Clearly, Oregon will continue to accept refugees," Brown tweeted. "They seek safe haven and we will continue to open the doors of opportunity for them."

Brown, a Democrat, posted a second tweet: "The words on the Statue of Liberty apply in Oregon just as they do in every other state."

and she also replied to a Republican state representative with:

"As Oregonians, it is our moral obligation to help them rebuild their lives," Brown wrote. "In Oregon we will continue to abide by federal laws regarding resettlement. Oregon does not have a direct role or act independently of the federal government."
