5 Black Churches in the Ferguson Area Have Burned Since Last Week, Media Shrugs

In the last 10 days, five black churches have been set on fire in the St. Louis area. And unlike the last wave of black church fires this summer in which weather played a role in some of the fires, these all appear to be the work of arsonists. The lack of media coverage about these fires is highly-noticeable, given the media’s hyper-intensive coverage of rioters in Baltimore setting fire to a CVS earlier this year.

“It is arson,” St. Louis Fire Department captain Garon Mosby told Fox 2 Saint Louis. “These are being intentionally set.”

This most recent wave of church fires are taking place in North St. Louis, near Ferguson, where racial tensions have been particularly high since the August 2014 shooting of Michael Brown. The department of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is investigating the arsons.

On October 8th, the first fire was set at the Bethel Non-Denominational Church. Between October 10th and October 14th, three more churches were burned — New Northside Missionary Baptist Church, St. Augustine Catholic Church, and the New Testament Church of Christ. In the early hours of Saturday morning, another fire was set at the New Life Missionary Baptist Church. All 5 churches are within three miles of each other.

They keep buying up all the media in the US. It's like a Joseph Goebbels takeover of US media. I still think many Americans are clueless. They come home tired from work, flip on the TV/radio, hear the information or lack of from M$M, and many think they are now well informed as to what's going on.

I have a friend that started spouting RW stuff, for example, and I asked, where the F are your getting that from. Turns out he was doing a lot of cross-country driving and often the only thing he could get on the radio in many areas was creepy Rush Limbaugh. This was way back, so I gathered up a bunch of cassette tapes and CDs with great music and told him here, listen to this instead, you'll be better informed.

He got the idea and realized he was being brainwashed. And he's just one of I bet millions that get sucked into misleading information and/or the deliberate omission of information by M$M.

God I am so tired of this crap. Being raised in south Arkansas 15 miles from the Louisiana border. It wasn't this bad back in the 50's and 60's.. We had the prevalent Jim Crow racism, but all the killings and burnings that is happening now outside of the deep south is damn strange.

I do hear all the time up here in central Arkansas from people I would not think as racist the phrase "You have to get yourself a gun when the (insert racial word here) start rioting". That seems to be the prevailing reason the "sane" people give for buying new guns. Are there organizations out there who really believe that they can provoke massive rioting?

It was a circuit judge in Little Rock that allowed gay marriage and started the ball rolling. I accidentally found it a couple of years ago and now I never change it. I have not listened to NPR really since then. They don't seem to do much national news (I guess it just cost too much). But they have a really big coverage area compared to the Big Boys in the area.

KABF (88.3 FM) is a community radio station in Little Rock, Arkansas, USA. over all the newscasts of the day. The first four fires in terms of damage to the buildings were not large as reportedly just trash set on fire at the front doors which may account for a lack of national coverage. The last one seems to have been the only one to cause significant damage to the building.
