From this Bernie supporter: Thank you for a respectful debate to Sec. Clinton, Sen Webb, Sen Chafee, (Original Post) ChisolmTrailDem Oct 2015 OP

When she talked about the war on planned parenthood she was righteous. Her other answers were "middle of the road looking to get votes in red states" type stuff, but whatever. Remember that Obama barely, BARELY took the nomination from her in '08. I sincerely wish she wasn't a hawk.

Sanders won, too. He's motivating people to get involved and to vote, and he's making it as clear as he can to everybody who isn't high on the 1%hog that only a groundswell of support will break the republican deathgrip on the congress and country. Gonna donate to him on payday.

Other candidates made good points. Each had some single important issue they were did something about and were advocating for. Kinda lacking charisma. Seemed like they were running for VP.

Even though AC tried to create some dissension with those depressingly predictable questions, they rose above it and stuck to the issues. Webb and Chafee just need more time before the cameras to sharpen up their performances. I predict that O'Malley goes up in the polls. This is the first time many people have seen him!

Such a disservice that all we ever see on TV is trump.

overall it was such a nice, intelligent discussion. A lot of substance and policy positions. Such a change from the Republicans. And a nice change from the Canadian debates (where everyone seems amateur-ish and ridiculously scripted next to the talented American politicians).

this not only a Dem primary debate but also an opportunity to get a jump on the general by pointing out the ridiculousness of that clown car contingent.

This pride happens with me usually during campaign rallies or events, when real Democrats are gathered ringing the pure notes of vision and ideals.

Leaving that aside and reverting to the ugly side of fighting, take the Repubs --- PLEASE! What a contrast to the Repub CLOWN CAR bursting its seams. Where the media yakkers are saying that BIDEN should see from Hillary’s performance that she left NO ROOM for him in the Center-Left, the wingnuts can’t see on their side there was no room for SO MANY CLOWNS, where all but maybe one in 17 are CLOWNS.

That said, despite my running the spectrum of strong support for Hillary (in '08, until April or May) down to cringing over her, she was absolutely GREAT tonight.

O'Malley made some points with me when he referred to theRmpster as a "Carnival Barker"... totally loved that, but not enough to vote for him in a presidential race. He did have some very thoughtful and inclusive closing statements too.

I think the GOP debates was more like Jerry Springer.....this one like Dick Cavett.

Nice to see a group of people that actually have the ability to speak and think critically.

very respectful. I could have done without my state's ex senator's whining. Webb came across as petulant.

They sure made the Republicans look like the clowns they are.
