As many of us have suspected all along, bacon is the key to long life.

The world's oldest person, Ms. Susannah Mushatt Jones credits eating bacon every day for her 116 years of life.
After reading the article I have deduced the real reason, she starts each day by having her bacon with grits and eggs.:hat tip:

Beef, pork, lamb and chicken.

Eliminate all starches, sugars and green shit.

Your body and mind will thank you. Srsly.

Broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, green beans, and kale are super green shit, especially for anti-oxidants and fiber. But, yes, the rest of it you can get rid of. And lettuce is worthless and takes millions of gallons of water to grow.

Yep, protein and fat - that's where it's now at!

For me, even "more greater!" with Hollandaise. Low carb rules! And always has. IMO, etc. per my own anecdotal experience, of course.

I feel the same way. But - kale coated with olive oil and a sprinkle of garlic, baked until crispy - that is good stuff.

Been a low-carber off and on since the late 70's, now aiming for zero (or as close to it as I can get). My mood and alertness always improve when I cut carbs. For someone with my metabolism it's a no-brainer...

However, it's difficult to argue with 116 years of success, therefore bacon must be the apex of the food pyramid.

cattle ranchers viciously went after people who tried to raise sheep. No if you want lamb (the best of the meats, IMO), it is likely coming from New Zealand or Australia.

As a low carber, the bacon and eggs are divine, the grits are a very rarely eaten indulgence, if at all, any more.
But - bacon and eggs! Oh, and my cholesterol is dandy, I am almost 70 with no health problems or medications, very recent colonoscopy A-Okay. Blood pressure usually 105 or so / 70 or so.

Yeah, I know that my very own experience is "anecdotal". Since it is also first-hand, and easily provable - there are records , I will go with my own experience here!

Although my family tree seems more populated with with short, VERY round people. Some of whom lived to be 85/90. But all (that I had contact with, there is that anecdotal thing again!) ate a LOT of sugar and starch.
I can't stand sugary stuff, I stick with a little stevia, plus I don't feel dessert is ever necessary. Not being Spartan, just don't care for it very much. Starch? I love starch, but it makes me feel lumpy and gain weight. Not worth it.
And I have a LOT of wicked rich low-carb recipes, mostly very simple, so I am not "doing without" anything yummy. Plenty of fiber, too.
Also, there is no (low-carb) food that doesn't taste better with Hollandaise sauce. Just sayin'.
