3 options considered for Confederate Monument in Linn Park (AL)

BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) - The Birmingham Park and Recreation Board is considering three options for the future of the Confederate Monument at Linn Park.

Wednesday morning, Ralph Cook with the city's legal department gave the board a history of the monument and the park.

Cook told the board their three options are to keep the monument where it is, move the monument to another public location, or move the monument to a private location.

Cook suggested they take time to consider their decision. He also suggested if they decided to move the monument that they accept applications from various organizations that would like to have the monument ...
