(5,751 posts)That could take some more wind from Hillary's sails. Not that it's any of my business.

(16,971 posts)her and Bernie both in the Senate? She would make a great majority leader or whip, and would be excellent at keeping the party focused on financial policy, which I think is the crux of Bernie's campaign.

(9,033 posts)Warren is better where she is--although Treasury Secretary or Fed chair would be sweet too.
ETA: that would shake up Wall St, verdad?

(16,971 posts)It would be worth it to lose her in the Senate if we got her as Fed Chairwoman or Treasury Secretary. At least she's from a blue state, so we would likely get another Democrat in her seat.

(2,427 posts)However, while we are dealing in hypotheticals - A Sanders/Warren ticket might give the nation a good liberal smack in the ass and get some serious traction for new, lefter people to run for senate.
We need the seats to stay blue for sure and we need sound thinking in the senate but there are 300 million people out there. There has to be some good eggs that could be elected in that climate that otherwise would be overlooked.

That would be an awesome ticket.

(16,971 posts)the House or maybe a governor with a good record. I'm coming up with nothing right now, except for maybe O'Malley, but I don't know if he would run for VP. We would need someone strong as a running mate because the GOP would have a lot to say about Bernie's age, even though he isn't much older than other front runners. I'm thinking maybe a Gen Xer from the West or the Midwest would be a good fit.

(9,033 posts)--socially liberal but fiscally conservative. I'm not going down that road again, although I like him personally.

(33,401 posts)He is my pick - period. I think he should be running for President but he's only 40. With the big baby boomer voting block it's wise to run someone a little older for president.
