"the resurrection is coming and Christ is sovereign." Who is BLMS's Marissa "Johnson" Jenae?

Last edited Sun Aug 9, 2015, 09:25 PM - Edit history (2)

Judge for yourself but this post today by one of the two BLM activists who stormed the stage at the Sanders rally seems pretty kooky to me. It reads as from a pretty unstable person at best and ready to go postal at worst.

Please note...

I am only as respectable as the cross.

I am only as apologetic as he cross.

I am only as concerned with worldy powers as the cross.

I am only as concerned about upward mobility as the cross.

I am only as neutral, as polite, and as comforting as the cross.

I am only as rational as the cross.

This is my offering. The Spirit convicts, directs, and affirms me.

But this shit is scandalous. That is the call of discipleship.

I live like the resurrection is coming and Christ is sovereign. It is utter foolishness. It is life.

I do not worship Caesar. I cannot partake in Babylon. I cannot serve two master.

Believe, I have made my choice.

Seriously, security should become tighter around Bernie. It does *NOBODY* - supporters, op-posers, Democrats, Republicans, everyone in between - to have political leaders come under physical attack.

I wouldn't piss on Donald Trump if he was on fire, but I would say the same thing if it had happened to him - get better security so that some lunatic can't physically harm or worse, kill you.

I guess it does go to motivation. Just be careful. Bringing religion into this discussion before the Palin button issue sinks in, may derail the discussion. The Church is very powerful in Black Community, and it would be wise to keep out of the discussion unless she was running with a dominionist set affiliated with the Palin's or "The Family". But there are definitely here a few threads to pull here.

I got some really odd vibes off her.

In my opinion both women were overly aggressive and obnoxious. The way they were screaming in Sen. Sanders' face when he was just asking for a few minutes was far out of line. They would have done better to agree to only take a limited amount of time at the rally instead of running off a candidate that could be a huge help to their cause.

It was a city which the Nazis had completely destroyed. Brandt knew he needed an exceptional gesture with which he would ask the Polish people for forgiveness. He found the gesture at the right moment.

The 'Warsaw Genuflection'

Willy Brandt honors the Jewish and Polish victims at the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes in Warsaw

As he laid a wreath at the Monument to the Ghetto Heroes, he did not just bow his head in honor of the victims, he fell to his knees and remained there for more than a minute. There was complete silence. One could only hear the clicking of the cameras. The pictures of what became known as the Warsaw Genuflection traveled around the world, and became one of the best-known images in modern German history.

I have no problems with people who practice whatever religion. It's when they can't leave it out of everyday conversations and believe they are right and the rest of us better believe it too that we have problems.

I've never seen any indication the Saunders wants to use his heritage in any way, other than as a basis for his personal faith. I don't even know if he attends religious services of any kind.

This woman seems to have a messiah complex, believing she is as put upon as Christ was, with all those references to the cross. Many Christians seem to believe this. It tends to make them crazy. I've seen it up-close-and-personal, and it's not pretty. I was abused emotionally by a fundie freak husband. He nearly drove me to suicide (twice) before I was able to be strong enough to leave him.
