I would give all the press conferences and interviews as possible. A candidate would be free to give his or her positions and points without challenge by the others. Why is the media saying that political careers will end if a candidate doesn't make it into the debates.

One doesn't expect an individual Republic to form their own opinion by watching a debate, their opinion has to be told to them to the media. The debate may give a few sound bytes to illustrate the corporate choice, but any gaffes by the chosen one will be glossed over and explained away.

winners and losers are, and although there is no law giving the media, TV media in particular, anything like that kind of power, but what media will say so?
