Should corporations that make billions of dollars off the labor of their employees in this country be prohibited from hiding those profits in overseas tax havens?
And since they have fled our nation, in order to not pay their fair share of taxes, should we not pass a tariff on all their products that come back into this country, equal to the amount of taxes they shirked by moving from our country?
Would that be fair?

(111,095 posts)The citizens and workers of this country are looking for "fair trade".
Capitalism should be required to promote the common good of this country. And not the theory that you steal whatever the market will bear and escape with the profits to another nation.
That should be re-defined, in my opinion.

(111,095 posts)We need to focus more on "fair trade" than the present system of "free trade". Why do corporations, like Walmart, hide their profits overseas? Because of "free trade".
