Jackass open-carry advocate is preparing to march through St. Louis Zoo...

[div class="excerpt" style="margin-left:1em; border:1px solid #bfbfbf; border-radius:0.4615em; box-shadow:3px 3px 3px #999999;"]ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – UPDATED (10:36 a.m.) KMOX’s Kevin Killeen reports that the Saint Louis Zoo has asked the court for a temporary restraining order to block an open-carry gun event set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

The St. Louis police chief is scrambling to block the open-carry demonstration, saying that in his opinion, “more guns are never the answer.”
Jeffry Smith, a gun advocate from Cincinnati, Ohio, plans to protest the “no weapons” signs posted at the Saint Louis Zoo. The sign states, “No firearms or weapons on this property.”

OK, fucking jackass(I might be editorializing here a little bit), gets escorted off of Zoo property because he's a jackass who decided to carry around a holster. Apparently he practically brandished it in front of security. Now, I have been to the Zoo many times, it takes a LOT to get your ass escorted off property.They may have asked him to hide it, or store it in their security office, etc. I strongly doubt they immediately kicked him out just for that.

Also, why the fuck isn't this bastard doing this shit in his hometown? Oh yeah probably because of this:

Exempt from this prohibition are: officers, agents, and employees of a state or the federal government or law enforcement officers authorized and acting in the scope of their employment. State law permits the carrying of a handgun openly, but many municipalities prohibit any carrying of firearms.
It is an affirmative defense to a charge of carrying a concealed weapon if the person was:

In his own home;
Engaged in or going to or from his business or occupation which is of such character as to justify a ``prudent man in going armed;''
Engaged in lawful activity and had good reason to fear attack on himself or family such as to justify a ``prudent man in going armed.''

Should I note that Missouri law used to be very similar to this until the Republican dominated legislature actually passed the current law AFTER it failed at referendum.
