CNN: Stray dog saves abandoned human newborn baby!

No one questions the loyalty of a dog to their families, and when they rise to the occasion and perform miracles it might be amazing, but it also makes sense. Of course they would risk themselves for us, just like we would them. However, animals are more altruistic than we give them credit for! Take China, a stray dog on the streets of Argentina who heard the cries of an abandoned newborn baby and brought child back to her den and tended to her, along with her own puppies, until the child was found and rescued.

The instincts and heroism shown by China is awe-inspiring. It is hard to conceptualize how an animal could understand the needs of the crying baby, let alone protect and shelter it. What a hero!
