Was Alan Ginsburg the most important person since WWII?

Thinking so.

First openly gay person I remember ever seeing or knowing about.

Got Bob Dylan stoned who in turn got the Beatles stoned who got the world stoned. (Rock music went from "Love Me do" to "I crawled off to sleep in the bath&quot

"Howl" of course.

Got Kerouak, Bukowski and Burroughs published.

I've read biography after biography and history of the history book of the times, musicians, authors, major players etc and he walks through every single on of them.

I was at his funeral service in 1997, at Karme Choling- not because I knew him just as a member of the Sangha

LBJ.

Medicare, Civil Rights Act, Head Start. Except for Vietnam, he would rank right up there with FDR.
