(24,800 posts)about his candidacy!!!! Couldn't be more excited. He speaks the simple truth that we all know. An "Emporer has no clothes" moment.
I feel a change a-comin'. At least I'm hoping.

(31,493 posts)Anyone who says that Bernie will lose against any of the idiots in the GOP clown car is with the repukes! I doubt that enough progressives will vote for Hillary for her to win the GE.

(13,877 posts)the same concepts, the same message for 50 years. That's a same old-same old I can get behind. For most of us, it's a New Thing. Not only the questions, but the answers.

(4,389 posts)Well, in fact it reminds me of a joke from David Letterman back in, I believe, 2004. He switched a pic of Bush with one like this one. It would be better if I could find a clip because explaining one of Dave's joke is not easy but I couldn't stop laughing.

(9,126 posts)If he can go on a talk show and talk about boring wonky policy and get applause, he's going to go very, very far.

(13,877 posts)Middle Class. On the front page of Yahoo News Online this morning...and his interview with Couric. Two Bernie spots.

(13,877 posts)just my imagination. You could tell they were all having a good time...right out of the shoot with his messy hair pic...Priceless.

(9,126 posts)He looks really relaxed and happy. I get a twinge though when I see him and wonder if people want someone polished and fake. Obama looks like James Bond in interviews. Are people so messed up in the head that one of them is unelectable? God, I hope not.

No placating word salad.
No rehearsed talking points.
No bullshit.
Just plain ol' sitting at the family kitchen table English.
My kind of guy.

(12,226 posts)I would listen to Lunch with Bernie Sanders on KTLK AM1150 (a Los Angeles radio station that I miss very dearly).
I remember often thinking: I wish this guy would run for U.S. President.
Lo and behold!

Bernie is still on Thom Hartmann every week

(12,226 posts)I no longer have that long commute...
Moreover, I just think it's a shame a great radio station (where I discovered some wonderful liberal hosts) was removed.
That's how I discovered Bernie, and I'm sure other Angelinos did as well.

(45,251 posts)I never started watching when they overlapped. Ferguson has since left Late Night of his own volition. After watching that video, I'll be watching Seth Myers for as long as he is on.

(368 posts)what Bernie Sanders(and his supporters) must do now is to put together a concentrated effort to take his message to low income folks(yes that means Tea Party) in the southern(very scarlet) states. Explain to them that by voting GOP, they vote against their OWN interest. Convince them that he cares more about their well being than any other candidate, by far.

(7,865 posts)Of course this is one of the reasons Sanders wants to debate Republicans before the primary season starts. It brings the issues to their kitchen tables and lets people know there are alternatives in policy and in what helps everyone.
Huge obstacle. We'll see.
