How Do People Do It?

Posted by John Cole:

I’m in TireAmerica having my tires rotated, my alignment done, my oil changed, and my annual inspection, and Faux News is running and I can actively feel myself getting less informed by the second. I’m having visceral, painful reactions every time I hear Bill O’Reilly or that blonde woman from the morning speaks.

I wouldn’t force my worst enemies to watch this. How do people do this? I really feel for the folks at websites who monitor this station all day long to document the lies.

*** Update ***

Asked them to change it to the Weather Channel, and as it was happening, I heard an audible “Thank God” from another customer.

change the channel:

as to how anyone watches any of the "news" networks, much less anything masquerading as a news network, such as Faux News.

They have FOX News playing in the lobby. She often has to endure that shit for 12 hours at a time.

Something like: "Hi. I was in your business the other day and noticed you had Fox News playing on the TV. I'm not sure if you realize that many of your customers find Fox annoying and offensive. I hope you will consider changing your TV to a different station. Thank you."

Short & simple.

But I think he might have added that that would be a war crime, cruel and unusual punishment.

When ever I am in our local hospital, I change the channels on the waiting room tvs.
Most of the time the rooms are empty except for me anyhow, at the time.

I always wonder how long it takes for someone to find the Fox channel again.
