Does anyone know how RFRA polls in Indiana?

I had a conversation at breakfast this morning about whether the Indiana public was in favor of RFRA or not. Does anyone have any numbers on how this has been polling? Was this done just to please the far right base or was it generally more popular?

and takes their orders from ALEC and the Koch Brothers and the usual suspects, just like Scott Walker and most Republican politicians. The real reason to try and pass these laws was to enshrine the "Hobby Lobby" decision into a state statute to allow businesses and corporations to avoid regulations based on religious grounds. It also allows state government contracts and grants to churches and religious schools (specifically Indiana Wesleyan University) even though they have discriminatory hiring practices. The whole "bakery" angle, while certainly a known consequence and the one that would please their far right anti-gay base (one that is far from a majority) was just gravy. They didn't count on the fact that everyone hates their gravy.

it matters little what "the people" want. You can bet that the Right/Teabagger majority of Indiana is feeling sold out.

Sir, WalMart on Line 1 and Mr. John Doe from Podunk Indiana on Line 2...which call does a pragmatic politician take?
