FERGUSON, MO (KTVI) – The interim Ferguson police chief says he is disgusted by how one of his officers was treated this past Sunday by protestors. He says his four African-American officers have been under a more vigorous attack than white officers every since the protests began.
An African-American Ferguson police officer was called to the McDonald`s for a disturbance. When he arrived things were calming down, but when the crowd saw he was black, the heckling began.
Some protestors threw bottles at him.
Interim chief Alan Eickhoff says the black officers seem to get singled out on the skirmish lines and they are aggressively pursed with demeaning language.
