to criticize DU members who don't share your position on candidates but give Dianne Feinstein, a Democratic Senator who has publicly called out Hillary on MTP to 'come clean' a free pass?....

If you can't think of anything nice to say about your fellow Democrat who could put our party in power then just shut the fuck up. Our party doesn't need friends like you.

She is just hogging the limelight bringing attention to herself. Why make such a statement publicly, so even Fox News can run with it? I think it's pretty obvious. She isn't helping anyone but herself.

This whole mess hurts the Democratic Party. It isn't the media's fault, Hillary did this & it looks really bad. Hillary is making it worse by not making a statement. And when she makes it worse, its worse for all of us.

I'm glad DF said this, I hope it works.

Hillary is speaking loads with her silence and what she is saying is not helping our party. It is time for Hillary to address why she is still in possession of Government emails yes Government emails just because a Government employe uses there own home server to send and receive work related emails does not make those emails an less the property of the US government.

Are you worried for her? Do you think she hasn't been around long enough to know that everything she does has consequences? Does she need more experience in you opinion. Does she need you help about how to run or not run? Let her do whatever the hell she wants to and either suffer the consequences or gain something.

If Hillary is going to hurt herself I think doing it early on will help the country. Or do you think she needs to be babied and coddled and protected by Diane or you or anybody?

The best move will be to turn over the private email server that the Clinton's setup in their home to handle all of Hillary's email while she served to people of the United States as their Secretary of State, anything short of that will only lead to endless questions. By handing over the server she will put this issue to bed and be able to say that it is "all" in the State Departments hands.

She made the choice to handle her email correspondence on a home server but those emails that she wrote as Secretary of State (like all government employes emails) belong to we the people, it is not for her or "her" people to decide what emails get shared they all are the property of the people of the United States not Hillary's personal property. Whether she side stepped any government rules is not the question here the point is that by continuing to hold government property in her personal possession after retiring for a Government job she is opening yourself to endless questioning and attacks.

Shouldn't she have addressed how conflicted she was as someone married to the defense industry?

Her and her husbands ties to multimillion dollar defense contractors have been under question for years and although the suspicion remains that she is profiting from wars that she votes for, to my knowledge she has never publicly discussed the matter.

I disagree with her premise as well. If Ms Clinton were to come out publicly and attempt to justify her actions, she would probably just make things worse for her. She is a particularly inept public speaker and she tends to sounds defensive and resentful that somebody even questions her decisions. The more she talks, the more shady the whole thing is going to sound.

Her best defense at this point is to STFU and hope emailgate blows over before the nomination.

"Colin Powell!" or "You guys just keep hounding me, so I have to keep everything a secret to protect my political viability!" or "I have a far better IT guy than those IT guys at the State Department!" There's simply no reason that can be offered that isn't going to sound bad, so she might as well just shut up about it.
