instead of the 9-10 inches of snow that storm dropped on us on Friday-Saturday.

Don't feel sorry for us, the temperature warmed up to the 60s on Sunday and the snow's all gone except on a few high peaks.

It was probably pretty for a while. Our 5 or so inches are still here, shrinking a bit but DIRTY and UGLY, and more coming Thursday!

Raptor resource didn't think they'd have any hatchlings last year with the sub-freezing temps, and there they were! The first year, I watched them nonstop. Now, I just check in here and there. I love how Dad lines them up in a row and Mom makes a triangle with them. They have such personality.

I have read that both male and female bald eagles will share incubating privileges

Check out my link up thread.

The Decorah eagles have three eggs. Mom and Dad share duties, but mom is the one on the nest all night.
