the GOP would like to downplay this victory by the dems. The dems would like to play it up as much as possible. To say it's the first victory of the year makes it look like a turning point, right in time for the 2012 elections.

I am NOT one of them. He got his job purely on the coattails and sympathy emanating from his Father's premature death. Had he acknowledged to himself that that "leg up" required him to work even harder to "hone his craft" and to learn how to analyze a news story by researching the facts, he'd be deserving of that defense. He has not. Not merely a "half-baked potato" at this point, but frequently a "half-rotten" potato.
