Conservative Governor/Presidential hopeful Mike Pence starts state run news agency.

http://www.indystar.com/story/news/2015/01/26/pence-starts-state-run-news-outlet-to-compete-with-media/22370005/

How many levels of irony can you count?

The comments on the piece are worth reading. Pravda comparisons check. Predicted Hysteria on the right were this proposed by Obama or any democrat, check.

I post this because I wonder if this is quietly happening (on taxpayer dimes) in other states? Is this a coordinated effort to try to exponentially effect the Fox Effect. And because the responses are pretty interested. There are more and more folks ready to throw the level of ridicule the right wing media has thrown for 20+ years - right back at the right wing media, than ever before. Heck - in many places the right wing media responses are trounced by the number or responses challenging it. In the past year or two, this has started to happen more frequently even in this red state on a newspaper site that's comments for the previous decade had been so hostile and hatefilled to anything not in the GOP rw current talking points.

In a forum that was once dominated by the reactionary right - the comments are exceptionally caustic to Pence's move. I am guessing that his folks are perfectly happy to ignore the public response (in a long time GOP friendly forum per the Indy star comments section.)
