Please someone. Explain to me how people close to Chris Christie

have "lawyered" up, been served by the Feds and are possible targets....and Christie is clean???

In the interview Steve Kornacki had with WNBC reporter Brian Thompson, Thompson said that Christie is not a target so far, and that he volunteered to talk with the Feds. Thompson said that if Christie WERE a target of the Feds, such a such a sit-down would not have happened.

Is Christie going to walk?

I think the fix is in for Christie. Big backers, dirt on everybody else, a bully. nt djean111 Jan 2015 #1
So frustrating! He is a obvious bully, and so confident that he is untouchable. This Ninga Jan 2015 #2

From what I see, if any of Christie's ex-employees would seek a deal with the prosecutors by revealing the whole plan, they would not only never work again in NJ, but they and their spouses, children, parents, second-cousins would all be unable to even live in NJ.

The actual motivation for the closing of the lanes has never been even explained. In Christie's personal "investigation" report could only lamely claim the "scorned woman" scenario, which no one even mentions any more.

Right after the lane closures "traffic study" story blew up, there were some articles that pointed to the Hudson Lights Project, a big development right at the entrance to the bridge.

"Chris Christie and his top donors were angry. They had to be. Here was a billion-dollar development deal taking place in Fort Lee, promising developers and potential residents easy access to the George Washington Bridge, all under the direction of a Democratic Mayor, Mark Sokolich, who had finally put a long-dormant piece of supremely pricey real estate into position for hosting two 5-story buildings, plus retail space for restaurants, shops and movie theaters.

Fort Lee was going to kick ass, and be the epicenter of one of the biggest development deals in the state. And who was in charge of giving out all those contracts for architecture, engineering, bond work, legal work? Why, it would be Fort Lee's mayor. It's a lot of power and money attached to development deals like this. It stands to reason that other people, especially a governor and his re-election campaign staff who were drunk on power might have felt a little emboldened to show Fort Lee just who's boss."
