Hate your job? How about some of these?

from the Guardian
- Dog Food Taster
Tasting dog food to make sure it meets a premium brand’s exacting quality standards.
Opening sample tins of each freshly made batch of dog (or cat) food, smelling it and eating it.

- Hygiene Technician
Disinfecting areas that have potentially been exposed to bio-hazardous situations.
Cleaning up crime scenes, road accidents and suicides. Clearing hoarders’ houses full of rubbish, rats and excrement … among other things.

- Biogas Engineer
Setting up biogas plants in developing countries.
Linking a system of digesters – which can be filled with human excrement, animal dung and other waste products – to toilets to produce a biogas that can be used for cooking and lighting.

Every sewer system in the world produces "sewer gas"...I never considered it flammable enough to burn for heat....interesting

There was an article in discover magazine a few months ago about these. this hog farmer had all the waste it was costing him a fortune to deal with to get rid of. So they basically designed this large basin on his property where the waste is funneled to and reacts with bacteria to produce biofuel which runs a generator which powers his property. so not only did he cut his waste handling bill he cut his electric bill too.

just did a quick google search and the article is on-line! here's the link. Enjoy. it is a good read during lunch! might I suggest a BLT?
