OK, let's say Michael Brown did...

I have heard a ton of apologetics for Wilson, so let me attack them with logic.

Suppose,for the sheer sake of argument that Michael Brown stole the cigars. Let's say he was the mastermind and had planned to steal those cigars, right down to him shaking his fist at the clerk that tired to stop him.

Let's say he mouthed off at the cop...hell, let's even say he charged at the cop,looking like a full blown "demon" (whatever meaning THAT had in Wilson's head)

Let's say he did NOT raise his hands, even though most say he did, there will be some here who will insisit he did not, because in their minds, young black men never do that.

OK,

what the hell justified Wilson firing 12 damned bullets? Any one of these could have shot an innocent bystander.
what the hell justified him shooting someone who is unarmed? Do you honestly think that if a black cop shot an unarmed white kid that Fox would nto be questioing the cop?
why did he not use a baton? A taser? mace? or for that matter, a PUNCH or KICK? All of the listed methods are taught to cops, at taxpayer expense.

The fact is, this is about the fact a frightened cop reached for a gun, and this is about, as Michael Moore so points out in Bowling for Columbine, we have a nation that thinks those scary brown people who come and take their stuuf unless they are prepared to shoot to kill, be it here, or around the world.

It means that even if you put a dozen tools in someon'es hand, there is one they will reahc for,a gun.

Brown dared to defy, and perhaps even to threaten, a police officer. Thus, according to this mindset, the officer was entitled to kill Brown after-the-fact, even though the threat no longer existed.

I'd give Wilson the benefit of the doubt if that is all I knew.

But once he ran away, Wilson's blasting away in the neighborhood was just wrong. Wilson should have waited for backup.

Again, I'm assuming there was a struggle for the gun and Wilson stopped the two for "legitimate" reasons. I'm not at all convinced of that.

with both sides shooting at each other in Miami in 86. This was a one sided gun battle, with wilsonthepig spraying bullets all around the neighborhood at a fleeing unarmed individual. This total discounting of Michael Brown's execution on this board has truly amazed me and has made me take stock anew of so called progressives and liberals. It has gotten to the point where I know only a select group here are truly interested in justice, eradicating hate and racism and striving for a better society where we all are treated equally. Not just are interested in trying to use progressive and liberal as a cover to hold on to their privilege and status in this society. It's just what everything since Trayvon Martin has taught me about human beings and duplicity. You have taught an old dog how to spot new tricks..... I wish I could say thank you.
