If It’s Sunday, It’s Meet The Republican White Men

If It’s Sunday, It’s Meet The Republican White Men

By Adam Peck

An exhaustive new study by media watchdog Fairness & Accuracy in Reporting shows that the Sunday morning talk shows have been dominated over the last eight months by white, Republican men.

Between June 2011 and February of this year, 70 percent of all one-on-one interviewees on the four biggest political talk shows — NBC’s Meet the Press, ABC’s This Week, CBS’s Face the Nation and Fox News Sunday — were Republicans. The numbers were even more lopsided in favor of men and white guests:

As FAIR notes, the bias in favor of Republicans is not entirely attributable to the presidential elections. While the lean towards the right is more pronounced than in years past thanks to the contentious Republican nomination contest, the heavy favor that Sunday show bookers have towards Republicans is not new. In 2004, a mirror image of 2012 in that Democrats were looking to unseat a Republican incumbent in the White House, Republicans still held a 57-43 percent edge in 2003, and a 56-44 percent advantage in 2004.

the media tells us that the majority of the country is white.

Well,we know what we see on the republiCON side of the gallery when the President speaks maybe a dot or two of colored faces who are making laws that benefit only them as though no one else lives in this country but them..

They have the audacity to get angry if anything benefits any other color, race or ethnicity..

would remind all those others like useless Gregory what a real journalist/interviewer is.

My husband doesn't watch MSNBC much so he's not too familiar with the people there. The other night Rachel was on when we were both watching and after a few minutes he said: Wow, is she ever smart! Then went on about a comparison to the people at CNN (we used to watch a lot of CNN) and how stupid they all looked compared.

...is gob smacking.

He'll follow up on something that's trivial to a main point and then ask a question from left field with non factual premises

Just for all the appearances of McCain and LIEberman, I had to chuck it years ago. As bad as David Gregory is, I never understood the worship of Tim Russert either.

If Democrats weren't propping it up they'd have to do something or suck a loss.
