This is who the "gun safety" organization the NRA is giving a podium to represent "responsible gun owners". There are many responsible gun owners out there, but the people who support the NRA as they promote this guy are not working for responsible gun ownership they are standing with an advocate of terrrorism.

The man is a poster child for the term, 'gun nut' and gives gun owners a bad name. One sight of that video and people who are on the fence or don't have any exposure to responsible people will call for gun control after seeing it.

No group that advocates for guns for self-offense, and to protect their families, should feel that Nugent's abusive 'art' and statements shown in these threads don't deserve more of their indignation and wrath than someone who wants no guns at all.

Gun owners must go on the offensive toward media voices like this who give them a bad reputation. He was invited by the NRA and MIttens; men should stand up and say that these are not their views. Because others will say that they are. There is nothing funny or harmless about what Nugent is pushing and being lauded for by the NRA and GOP candidates.

One can't go after a mob; but this guy is being credit as a spokesman. By the Second Amendment's biggest defender, and doing a damned bad job of it, IMHO, the NRA.

There is a 'Liberal Guns Owners' group or something like that I've seen mentioned here. People in the NRA, and I'm guessing most of the 'Gungeon' here are members should let their disgust be known. That would probably change some minds. But silence is consent or approval, in many people's eyes. Maybe a member there should start a thread. Not being a gun owner, there's no use in me posting there. Being a female, a post by me about Nugent's hateful speech would be considered bias, I guess.

This guy is also affecting racial and sexual attitudes, and for all I know, his fans may be abusing women, children or acting as vigilantes. He's bad company to be associated with.
