Dallas Presby ER gonna have some explaining to do..sent the guy home from ER

When he first went there Thursday or Friday. Sent home with antibiotics for "vague" symptoms.
I suspected that when the CDC guy wouldn't answer a reporter's question about that happening...and now Presby docs are being grilled about it and 'fessing

Wish they would release where all the guy went here in the Dallas area between his first and second ER visits.

If they were asymptomatic, they are not contagious and it takes 2-21 days for symptoms uppityperson Oct 2014 #11
And antibiotics would be useless against a viral disease. LisaL Oct 2014 #10

Since he was from out of the country.

Surprised they gave him any care with that...of course no extra tests if you don't have insurance and he probably didn't offer that he came from Africa.

No insurance at a private hospital, throw some pills at him and send him away.

It was just announced here tonight that te EMS workers who took him to Presby on Sunday have been quarantined.

This is going to be a horrible ripple effect. If they are putting the EMS workers in isolation what about the ER workers who took care of him for both visits. And the hospital will have to track down those other patients who were in the waiting room and ER during both visits...well, mainly the first one where he wa most likely in the waiting room with him, etc.

Additional note..city of Dallas has activated its Emergency Operation Center to Level 2 High Readiness.

That would be fucked up on multiple levels. It started last week. Surely he didn't feel up to it but the epidemiology officials need to make sure none of the people exposed to HIM between Wednesday and Sunday went there.

to show up so unlikely anyone else was exposed, just not enough time.
