If there are threads I dont have any interest in, I skip right past them.

I've never felt a compulsion to open up a thread on a topic I am not interested in. Well maybe once in a while, so perhaps "hardly ever" rather than "never".

If I found myself just infuriated by the mere presence of threads with subjects I have no interest in, I would use the "trash thread by keyword" feature so that I would no longer see those threads. That would seem to be an easier path than demanding that all those threads that other people are busy posting in be banned from gd. But that is just the way I am, if I can find a path that gets me where I want to go without pushing other people out of the way, I follow that path.

This thread is not about gunz.

having my time wasted reading headlines with the words gun or guns in it. They are all over GD but are not currently allowed.

I hate guns and what they allow people to do to innocent people. But I'm smart enough to know that the debate over guns WILL NEVER BE SETTLED. EVER. Time spent arguing one side or the other is NEVER going to change anything.

If something is beyond the pale, I will use the advanced ignore feature.

go into threads just to complain about the thread's mere existence. I know adding keywords of Carrot Top, Bieber, Hasslbeck, Hasselhoff, Palin, and Coulter made my DU existence go much better.

Even if it's real important "This!!!" If it wasn't interesting enough to come up with more than one word for the title, odds are clicking on it is a waste of time.
