"Tell Me More" hosted by Michelle Martin has just been axed by NPR. I am upset. One of the best

radio talk shows on the air. NPR claims it is for cost cutting reasons. So, as always, the minority/female/socially conscience programs always get the ax. Her show pulled over 1.2 million each day and covered many of the important political and social issues not covered in depth by the MSM. I wish I could get my membership contributions back.

think tanks like AEI, the CATO Institute are getting much more space at the table these days. Lots of deep pockets at rightwing think tanks. I have a feeling this a survival move, but I understand your pain. I hope Michelle lands on her feet someplace else.

I don't believe I ever heard the show, "Tell Me More", since I work during the day, M-F. I'm damn sorry, though, that now I'll never get the chance. From the description I heard, it sounded like it was excellent radio journalism.

I'm with you - seems like "cost-cutting" always manages to come at the expense of minority voices.
