Even Harold Ford, Jr. laughed at Joe's lame attempt to smear Reid over that jewelry issue. Really stupid, Joe. We know what you are trying to do and it's pathetic. If this is all you can do as payback for Reid's Koch brothers remarks, you are pathetic...you fell right on your face on national TV this morning, you idiot...

(31,464 posts)Joe wants one thing and one thing only: to be back on Capitol Hill. That is why he sits in front of waving American flags every day...at some point he'll say something worthy of a campaign commercial, and they'll be able to use those clips. He is a shameless whore. We won't even mention the dead intern with whom he was having an affair.

(31,464 posts)I doubt MSNBC or Fox will bring it up. The case was closed, so he is technically exonerated. Nothing to see here, move along. It will be up to the rest of us. Also, he was/is a friend of the BFEE. He was being groomed for a position in the WH when he allegedly killed the intern he was allegedly having an affair with. He was asked to step down to avoid embarrassing the BFEE. His fealty was rewarded with a morning tv show, with which he trumpeted the glory of the BFEE.

(63,912 posts)presents for his donors from his granddaughter's jewelry business. That's supposed to be some kind of scandal. Ford actually said to Joe's face that he admired Reid's loyalty to his family. It's not like Reid embezzled money to funnel it to his family. He bought jewelry from her store to give as gifts to his supporters. It wasn't a lot of money, nor is it the slightest bit illegal or suspicious.
Then Joe changed the subject and started talking about his hair...
Wasn't aware of that.

(63,912 posts)I really don't see the problem in giving his jewelry buying business to his family member. He actually bought the jewelry; it wasn't a scam or a misuse of campaign funds.

(19,834 posts)Barnicle asked Mike Allen from Politico (who was doing the "report" what, legally, was the problem with what Reid did and Allen could only say "well, that's for the people to decide." In other words, all the comments that this was "Harry Reid's Kryptonite," that Reid might be vulnerable on this, was total bullshit. Nothing to see here.
Joe's vendetta on this is so transparent. Fox wouldn't run with a story this weak. I could just see Joe talking to Mike Allen beforehand and demanding 'Get me some dirt on Reid!'
