1. They used Milton Beaks, their corporate spy, for a bet.
2. Even though he was a confidant of the US Department of Agriculture, he was treated by Duke&Duke as a normal employee.
3. They even paid his bribe from the same account as the wages.
4. The critical phone-conversation was held over a phone that could be eavesdropped on by picking up another earphone.
